is a new hit TV series that aired on ABC Family. New season starts tonight, January 3rd at 8/7 c.The show captivated my attention from the very beginning. The story line reminds me of an experience that I actually had to go through myself.
The story line, begins with 5 girls: Alison, Aria, Emily, Spencer and Hannah, who were hanging out one night, when Alison mysteriously vanished. For a year, the mystery remained unsolved. After the incident that summer, the girls lost touch with each other, and weren't reunited till their junior year in high school. From the beginning the show gets you intrigued , keeps you in suspense and keeps you wanting more.
The girls begin to receive anonymous and mysterious letters, text messages, and emails containing random secrets that they've all shared with their now presumed dead friend, Alison. They thought she was still alive because of the secret messages, but that was before they found her dead body.
Just when you think it couldn't get creepier it does. Mysterious break in at Spencer's house with a lipstick message in her bedroom mirror. Mystery visits by Jenna, to the therapists. Jenna is the secret that Aria, Spence, Emily and Hannah share. That summer, before Alison's disappearance, they blew up Jenna's and her brother Tobi's garage, and the explosion blinded Jenna. Now Jenna is a constant reminder of the incident.
Homecoming night, took a turn for the worst. Emily was attacked by Tobi. Later that night, Tobi's motorcycle was found totaled.
Two more events to discuss. The S.A.T. day at school. The tension was high. Spencer's boyfriend, Alex, who works at the country club was at Spencer's school to take the test as well. Because of Alex, Spencer's mom told her daughter that she had gone to remove a bump from her breast and was ashamed to tell anyone. Alex was the only person that knew that secret. The detective that's been looking into the case of Alison's murder discovered Emily's letter that she was going to mail to Alison, but never did. He had no right in going through her stuff, but Emily's secret of being gay was now revealed to her friends.
The next and last event of the season happened at Hannah's friend, Mona's camp party. Hannah hid in the woods to see if she can spot who this mysterious A was. She saw Aria going into Mr. Fitz's car. Noel wrote, "I SEE YOU" on the car window and Hannah saw him doing that. She quickly headed back to the camp, when someone in a silver car came out of nowhere and hit Hannah and kept on going.
Who is this mysterious A? What really happened to Alison that night, a year ago?
If this sounds interesting, I really recommend it. It's not your typical TV series about high school drama, this something that now a days exist. People are so vindictive that they try to hurt you in a variety of ways. It then becomes a twisted game. Watch the first few episodes and I'm sure you'll get hooked.
